Lisa is currently developing a new original musical with co-creator Lizzie Hagstedt called Zitkala-Sa’s Astonishing Wild West. They were selected for Asolo Repertory Theatre’s Ground Up Series for workshop production followed by the New Musicals Lab at the Ferguson Center. Stay tuned!
Lisa co-wrote a new play with old music, The Porch on Windy Hill, alongside Sherry Leutkin, David Leutkin, and Morgan Morse. The first production was at Ivoryton Playhouse in the Fall of 2021 with a subsequent developmental showcase at the New Ohio Theatre in February of 2022 with their program, Now In Process. The Porch on Windy Hill has now had regional productions at Northlight Theatre in Chicago, Merrimack Repertory Theatre, Weston Theater Company, and upcoming at People’s Light outside of Philly.
Lisa and her writing partner, Kimberly Immanuel, wrote an original piece called Kim Loo Gets A Redo and were selected for the New Ohio Theatre’s Ice Factory 2021. With only four shows and during a pandemic, they sold out their final performance from word-of-mouth and were selected to be featured on PBS’s summer series of shows.
